Hello! My name is Elysia, an abstract artist based in Montmorency, Australia. My work is characterised by a vibrant and textured palette, combined with a unique and innovative approach to composition. My pieces often explore themes of nature, emotion, and the environment, which are inspired by my appreciation for the natural world, as well as for the beauty of the everyday object. I create singular 'one-off' artworks which evolve and change detailed photographic documentation of nature and structure to evoke new dimensions and abstracted compositions.
I love painting and photography; I enjoy creating and combining these elements. By blurring the boundaries between them, I can explore new ways of creating and expressing myself through both elements.
As an abstract artists, I have been honing my craft since May 2020 and have exhibited my art in galleries in Melbourne and Sydney. I have also sold numerous pieces locally and overseas, and been featured in publications such as Art Edit and various art blogs, and was recently awarded the Art to Art Unearthed Finalist and winner of“The People’s Choice Award”2024.
I continue to challenge myself and evolve as an artist, creating thought-provoking pieces that capture the beauty and complexity of nature and its relationship to humanity with either my camera or paint brush!
